Grundfos STR2-2.0 C

Having been a loyal end user of Salamander shower pumps over the years and the unreliable performance from such pumps (my last pump seizing after 4 months) I took a gamble and chose Grundfos as a direct replacement. This pump is extremely quiet compared to the Salamander and also a lot smaller and cheaper but with the same power output as the previous unit. Long term reliability is as yet unproven but if this shower pump is a reliable as their heating pumps it should have long and trouble free service.

I can’t praise this pump enough,(it replaced the 6yr old Watermill pump). Very Very Quiet compared to the old pump, excellent flow works two showers simultaneously with no loss of pressure, (the feed to each shower are through 15mm copper pipe reducing from the 22mm from the pump. Ordering and delivery both were very good, it arrived the next day. Fitting - pipe work needed a little altering, as the old watermill inlets were at the centre, but this pump was at the top side and bit higher so the existing 22mm copper needed a slight bend being put in it to accommodate the change of position( the flex hoses did also give a little bit of leeway). Outlets pipes were fine and needed no alteration.

Nice very quiet
