The DAB S4 Borehole Pump line is unique among borehole pumps. These borehole pumps are supplied as a total package. The pumps are extremely user friends and can be operated almost immediately thanks to their simple assembly. The borehole pump has a compact design and is highly maintenance friendly (also frost-proof). The low noise level and almost invisible setup make this the ideal borehole pump.

These borehole pumps are used for:

  • private and industrial water pipelines
  • fire extinguishing systems
  • washing installations
  • irrigation systems

Stainless steel/Inox

Stainless steel – also called Inox – can be very handy in some cases. Stainless steel is particularly recommended in drinking water applications. Drinking water has to remain uncontaminated and cannot contain corrosion. For this reason, stainless steel is used. Stainless-steel pumps are also resistant against limescale. Limescale has a tendency to build up, which is impossible on smooth, stainless-steel surfaces. The alternative to stainless steel is usually cast iron. These pumps can corrode. This is why these pump types are often used for irrigation. A final advantage of stainless steel is that it does not weight as much as cast iron and is therefore easier to move.

DAB

DAB is one of the most popular water pump brands for consumers as well as professionals. These pumps use very high quality standards. Before a pump is put on sale, each unit is tested manually by an employee. This is DAB's way of ensuring you get the highest possible quality. DAB has a solution for practically every situation. Whether it's an industrial application or just irrigating your garden. DAB's professional quality is also evident in their range of consumer products. The DAB pumps we replace for people are often over ten years old.

Frequently asked questions of the Borehole Pump DAB S4C 9M KIT

Frequently Asked Questions ● What type of water can I pump with this device? ● Why a borehole pump and not a submersible pump, irrigation pump or booster pump? ● In what situations can I use this pump? ● How should I install a borehole pump? ● Can I make this borehole pump operate automatically? ● The pump I had in mind is not listed, what now? ● Is the pump delivered ready for use? ● Which items are included in the package? What type of water can I pump with this device? The DAB S4C 9M KIT can only pump clean water, which is to say: water without significant suspended solids. However, always make sure the water is free of sand/gravel/litter and that the temperature of the water is not lower than 0°C and not higher than 40°C. Why a borehole pump and not a submersible pump, irrigation pump or booster pump? Submersible pumps have an average head rate of 7 metres and irrigation and booster pumps cannot go further than 9 metres. A borehole pump's limits are much greater, however. Borehole pumps more often than not have an intake depth of up to 50 metres. This pump can even reach water at depths of 71.5 metres. Ideal for gardening, or for the supply of water in domestic situations. In what situations can I use this pump? You can use this pump in the following situations: ● The draining of a space ● The draining of a source/water well ● Irrigation and sprinkling of your garden or lawn ● Cleaning your terrace, backyard deck or garden furniture ● Supplying of (rain)water for your washing machine, toilet, sink or shower in a separate circuit How should I install a borehole pump? First of all, a borehole pump must always be submerged in water. It is important that the borehole pump hangs at least 50 centimetres above the bottom to ensure that the pump doesn't suck up sand/gravel or any other litter located on the bottom of the well/space. In addition, this pump may only be submerged up to 20 metres. Can I make this borehole pump operate automatically? Yes, by using an electronic control system or the DAB Pressure Control (Presscontrol) you can turn this borehole pump into an active system. This means that the pump will automatically turn on when using water (e.g. when opening a valve) and subsequently automatically switch off. The DAB Active Driver may also be used to transform this borehole pump into an active system. The major benefit of the DAB Active Driver: It is frequency controlled, which reduces energy conlifting stationtion significantly and thus increases the lifespan of the pump. The pump I had in mind is not listed, what now? If you are looking for a pump that meets your specific requirements, we recommend you contacting us by email or phone. We usually have an appropriate solution for any situation. Is the pump delivered ready for use? Yes, this pump is supplied with all the components required for direct use. However, this pump is supplied without a drain hose, which can be easily added to your order. It is also possible to attach multiple drain hoses to each other in the event that 10 metres is not long enough. Please take a look at accessories for the DAB S4C 9M KIT here. Which items are included in the package? ● DAB S4C 9M KIT ● Control cabinet ● Cable connection (15 metres) ● Lowering cable ● Manual
